Brasstown Bald Area ( 1 ) Arkaquah Trail from Brasstown Bald parking lot. An easy in and out hike of about 3 miles.Spectacular views. Some rough footing. ( 2 ) Jacks Gap to Brasstown Bald on the Jacks Knob Trail. This hikehas several moderate to strenuous grades. ( 2 ) Wagon Train Trail from Brasstown Bald parking lot to Young Harris College. This is a 6.5 mile hike, but it’s all down hill.( 2 ) Wagon Train Trail from Brasstown Bald parking lot down and back for about 4 milesround trip. Outstanding views. ( 2 ) Jacks Gap to Chattahoochee Gap on the Jacks Knob Trail. This 4.6 mile round trip hikehas several moderate to strenuous grades both directions. ( 3 ) Jacks Gap to Brasstown Bald on the Jacks Knob and Summit Trails. This 6 mile round trip hike climbs 1800 feet to the top of Georgia’s highest peak. ( 4 ) Arkaquah Trail from Trackrock Gap to Brasstown Bald parking lot, then down to Jacks Gap for a total of 7.8 miles of strenuous hiking. Trail ascends 2,100 feet and descends 1,400 feet. Spectacular views.( 4 ) Jacks Gap to Chattahoochee Gap on the Jacks Knob Trail. Then left on the AT to Blue Mountain Shelter and return. A strenuous 8.4 mile hike.( 4 ) Jacks Gap to Brasstown Bald parking lot on the Jacks Knob Trail. Then down the WagonTrain Trail to Young Harris College. 9 miles. Optional side trip to Brasstown Bald tower. ( 4 ) Wagon Train Trail from Young Harris College to Brasstown Bald parking lot and return for a13+ mile hike. Trail follows the abandoned bed of an old road through the Brasstown Wilderness.
